7th Annual Rapids Run for Veterans 5k

The Rapids Run for Veterans 5K is not only a five-kilometer run, but an educational event to inform our community on the importance of veterans and veteran oriented service organizations like the Fisher House.  This virtual event will include an opening ceremony, 5K run, and subsequent speaker panel consisting of previous service members. The event will financially benefit the Fisher House, an organization that gives free lodging, food, and many other necessities to wounded veterans’ families while they are in the hospital. The second part of the project is still being ironed out due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This year marks out 7th Annual Rapids Run 4 Veterans 5K!

For more information on the Fisher House visit: https://fisherhouse.org

This year the event will be virtual and the course will be set up from February 13th to February 24th at James River High school. If you are unable to make it James River for the course you may run your own 5k course. Since there is not way to track times, we will be using the honor system this year.
